Acceptable Use Policy

This policy explains how Intent™ FreeDomain services may be used and the activities that are prohibited on our infrastructure.

Important:

By using Intent FreeDomain, you agree to use our services responsibly and in accordance with this Acceptable Use Policy, our Terms of Service, and applicable laws.

1. Permitted Use

Intent FreeDomain provides free subdomains and related DNS services primarily for legitimate websites, projects, applications, blogs, experiments, educational projects, and other lawful purposes.

Users are responsible for ensuring that their use of Intent services complies with applicable laws and our policies.

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Intent services to facilitate, distribute, host, redirect to, or otherwise participate in activities that are unlawful, malicious, abusive, or harmful.

  • Phishing, credential theft, impersonation, or fraudulent login pages.
  • Malware, viruses, trojans, ransomware, spyware, or other malicious software.
  • Botnets, command-and-control infrastructure, or systems designed to compromise or control other devices.
  • Spam, unsolicited bulk messaging, or services designed primarily to distribute unwanted communications.
  • Fraud, scams, deceptive schemes, or attempts to obtain money, credentials, or personal information through deception.
  • Activities intended to distribute or facilitate illegal content or illegal services.
  • Copyright infringement or distribution of content without appropriate authorization.
  • Malware distribution, malicious downloads, or deceptive software distribution.
  • DDoS attacks, network attacks, port scanning, exploitation, or attempts to compromise systems without authorization.
  • Hosting infrastructure intended to facilitate attacks against third-party systems.
  • Circumventing security controls, access restrictions, account restrictions, or service limitations.

3. Abuse of DNS Services

Intent subdomains and DNS records must not be used to disguise, redirect, or facilitate malicious activity.

DNS records may be reviewed or restricted when there is reasonable evidence that they are being used for abuse, fraud, phishing, malware, or other prohibited activity.

4. Security and Network Abuse

Users must not use Intent infrastructure to attack, disrupt, scan, exploit, or gain unauthorized access to third-party systems or networks.

  • Denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attacks
  • Brute-force attacks against external services
  • Unauthorized vulnerability exploitation
  • Credential stuffing or password attacks
  • Unauthorized network or port scanning
  • Attempts to bypass authentication or access controls

5. Harmful or Deceptive Content

Content using an Intent subdomain must not intentionally mislead users about its ownership, purpose, affiliation, or identity.

This includes impersonating organizations, companies, individuals, financial services, government services, security providers, or other entities for deceptive purposes.

6. Resource Abuse

Intent services are provided with shared infrastructure and resources. Users must not intentionally consume resources in a way that negatively affects other users or the stability of the service.

  • Excessive automated requests against Intent infrastructure
  • Attempts to overload DNS or API services
  • Automated activity intended to degrade service availability
  • Circumventing rate limits or technical restrictions

7. Enforcement

When Intent determines that a domain, account, DNS record, or other service is being used in violation of this policy, we may take appropriate action.

  • Remove or modify DNS records
  • Suspend or disable a subdomain
  • Suspend or terminate an account
  • Restrict access to Intent services
  • Preserve relevant security or abuse records
  • Cooperate with appropriate service providers or authorities where legally required or reasonably necessary to address abuse

The action taken may depend on the severity, frequency, and circumstances of the violation.

8. False or Malicious Abuse Reports

Abuse reporting mechanisms must not be intentionally misused to harass users, disrupt legitimate services, or submit knowingly false reports.

Reports should contain sufficient information for Intent to understand and investigate the reported activity.

9. Reporting Abuse

If you discover a domain or service that appears to violate this policy, please report it through our Abuse Policy page.

10. Changes to This Policy

Intent may update this Acceptable Use Policy when necessary to address changes to our services, infrastructure, security requirements, or applicable legal obligations.

Continued use of Intent services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
